Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Information
Printer friendly version | Provider EFT Agreement Word 2007 Version The IPRS Checkwrite Cycle begins after the Medicaid Claims Audit Cycle completes and executes through the IPRS editing cycle. The IPRS Cycle pauses until the Medicaid Financial Cycle balances and then resumes through completion. IPRS Checkwrite Process: Provider Payments The payment process usually begins on a Monday and ends Wednesday morning. On the last checkwrite week of the month, payments are usually received on a Thursday. During Holidays or selected months, payments may be delayed until Friday or the following Monday. Consult the IPRS 2010 Checkwrite Schedule. After the IPRS cycle has completed (usually Monday morning), the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Controller's Office uses various Report2Web reports to ascertain the North Carolina State funding required to cover Provider payments. On Monday’s following a successful checkwrite cycle, a requisition is processed by the DHHS Controller’s Office and approved. EDS IPRS Accounting is notified via e-mail around 4 p.m. that same day. On Tuesdays, EDS IPRS Accounting receives an e-mail notification of the Warrant that secures funding from the State Treasury. After receipt of this notification, an EFT Batch file is transmitted to the bank. Payment to new providers is made via check. The check is prepared and shipped via Federal Express. On Wednesdays, the EFTs are received in the morning, and checks are usually received around Noon or shortly thereafter. Contact Terrie McElwain Copyright © 2010 Hewlett Packard |
